HEUER 2000 MECHAQUARTZ CHRONOGRAPH

CHF 1,350.00

Right before TAG entered the picture, Heuer built something different.

The 262.006 combined a quartz base for accuracy with a Dubois-Depraz mechanical chronograph module, a mix of precision and touch that felt ahead of its time.

It was the world’s first analog quartz chronograph, and this reference still carries the Heuer logo on the dial, one of the last to do so.
The design is something they would use for many years to follow: grey matte case and bracelet, silver dial, a look that would become extremely popular in the Tag era.

A rare piece from a short chapter when Heuer was moving from racing heritage to technical curiosity, and somehow made both work.
