For decades the Constellation line represented Omega’s flagship in precision and style. This is one of the less common examples, the so-called Marine model, distinguished by its bezel that recalls a ship’s porthole.
The design language leans towards the Royal Oak aesthetic, and it shares that same late-70s Genta spirit seen in the Manhattan Constellation.
The case measures 36 mm, full size for the era and comparable to a Rolex Datejust, with more presence than the slimmer Connies of the period.
Stainless steel case and bracelet in unpolished conditions, with clean lines and sharp definition. Very slim at only 7.3mm in thickness.
The dial is in deep black with horizontal stripes, simple and elegant, with steel hollow baton indexes and the Omega logo.
Inside beats the Omega cal. 1332 quartz movement, unusually refined with 17 jewels. It features quick-set hour jumps for travel, a push button for precise minute setting, and a date display.
