OMEGA DEVILLE 925 SILVER ANDREW GRIMA NOS (1970s)

CHF 2,550.00

Andrew Grima wasn’t a traditional watch designer, he was a jeweller first, and one of the most original voices in British design.
His work for Omega sits somewhere between jewellery, sculpture, and watchmaking, and this De Ville is a perfect example of that crossover.

The case and bracelet are both crafted in 925 silver, defined “Lega Azteca”, with that woven texture Grima loved, very bold but also wearable, especially in this compact form and especially nowadays, when the border between jewellery and watchmaking is continuously redefined.
The watch is in true NOS condition, complete with its hang tags, untouched surfaces, blue plastic on the caseback, and the kind of patina you get from an untouched sterling silver.

A piece of design history rather than just a watch, coming from a guy also famous for having said you don’t need to know the time, your chauffeur does 😉

Even if Andrew Grima didn’t care about timekeeping, we do, and as such, the watch has been opened, checked and the manual movement is keeping time very well. We guarantee the mechanical function of the movement for a year from the purchase.
